Good news! The Schnoz of the Rings is now available on Kindle Unlimited. If you have a subscription to this service or to Amazon Prime, you can read The Schnoz of the Rings free! More good news: on July 1-5, I will hold a free ebook promotion on Amazon for The Schnoz of the Rings.
Kindle Unlimited
For the low, low price of $9.99 a month your can have access to over 1.4 million ebooks! You can have 10 books at a time on your device. There are no due dates and you can read as many books as you want.
Moreover, if you are a member, you can read The Schnoz of the Rings for free! Lucky you!
If you are not already a member, you might consider these facts: the big five publishers (Penguin Random, House, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Hachette, and Simon & Schuster) do not participate in Kindle Unlimited so you can’t read most of your favorite authors. An exception is the Harry Potter series.
The average cost of the books on Kindle Unlimited is about $5.00. So you break even if you read 2-3 books a month. No problem if you are a voracious reader. (I’m on summer break and I’ve read three books in the last two days.)
Here is another strategy. If you are on vacation, sign up for the 30 day free trial, read the Schnoz of the Rings, the Harry Potter series, and a slew more books during the month, then cancel your subscription. Free books! Score!
Amazon Prime
Free video streaming, free shipping, add-free music streaming, and free books. Amazon Prime will set you back $10.99 per month or $99.00 per year. In Amazon Prime, you can only read one book for month for free. As you might have guessed this service is about the videos, shopping, and music and not so much about the books. If your primary interest is reading, I wouldn’t rush out and sign up for this plan!
However, if you are already a member, go read The Schnoz of the Rings!
Free Schnoz
If you aren’t a member of either service, but you do have a Kindle, do not lose hope! If you can wait until July 1-5, I will be running a free Kindle book promotion. Amazon and I will give you free Kindle copy of The Schnoz of the Rings. A savings of $5.99! Cool, huh?
So tell all your parody-loving friends: Frodo and the Six-Pack of Central Earth are free July 1-5!
