Atlanta was my last trip before the coronavirus shut everything down. I spent most of a day at the High Museum so I have a bunch of photos from the High. Here are five from in and around the High that are on the arty side.
Branches and Bricks
I liked the organic flow of the tree branches contrasted against the ordered layers of bricks in the building behind. The day was overcast nd rainy. The branches glistened with water droplets. This was taken from a balcony on the side of the High opposite the main entrance. I thought it captured the mood of the day perfectly.

This is a light post shot through a window with the focus on the close water droplets.
Walkway
This is one of the curved walkways connecting the floors in the Stent Family Wing. The building is full of these curves.
Cityscape
This is a piece of art. I forget the name of the piece and the artist. I made an effort to find it on the web to no avail. I was attracted by the red form surrounded by the muted shade of the other “buildings”. I also like the vertical and horizontal lines and the transparent nature of the red building. I think that this was all made out of old packing materials.
Reflection
My last offering for today is a reflection of a tree and some structures from the roof. The tree was reflected off the surface of a shallow pool outside the entrance to the High.
Today’s photos were taken with a Canon 6DII wearing a Canon f2.8 24-70mm zoom lens. Interestingly, Walkway was taken at 24mm and the rest were shot at 70mm. All the photos were processed from RAW files with Darktable, which is free software for Windoze, Mac, and Linux.
